In line with our strategy, we are building a sustainable future together. We are bold pioneers of new developments. Sustainable development is integrated into all vocational studies.
Responsibility and sustainable development are key elements in the strategic development of Salpaus. We are going to apply for sustainable development certifications for our teaching and training activities as well as for our educational services. The Sustainable development team coordinates and promotes responsible activities throughout Salpaus.
We operate in regional and national networks where we jointly promote the goals of green transition in Päijät-Häme Region and the national goal of making vocational education carbon neutral in Finland by 2035.
Our sustainable education offerings
Sustainable development is integrated into all vocational studies in Finland. Students can also complete several optional qualification modules or follow a qualification path focused on sustainable development. Furthermore, we train environmental professionals at Salpaus Asikkala campus.
For professionals in various fields, we offer staff training and continuing education, short courses, and training leading to vocational and specialist vocational qualifications.
We also train guides for Salpausselkä UNESCO Global Geopark.
